You've Struck Gold

Remember when we used to live in a different place
Wake up every morning with your head in my arms
And when you'd look at me, your hair would get in my face
We'd stand at the edge of the porch and look out at the sun
And everyone around us would go off to their jobs
But we didn't live like that, we were just having fun
And they all said
You've Struck Gold x4
And then I thought I could be my own kind of man
I could do everything that you used to do
I swear to god I can do everything you can
Yes I can
And they all said
You've Struck Gold x4
It took me a lot of time to make it up to you
Down in the deep old mines, where I would try to find
A fortune, for us two, me and you.
And they all said
You've Struck Gold x2

I'm Not Real
05:42

I was born in a worn out world
Where nothing seems to change
A place where people hide in their homes
and waste away the days.
I’ve never had the chance to be noticed
for what I have to say
And though we may all try to change
It doesn’t matter anyway
Becasue I'm not real
So I moved out to a house in the city
And I grew out my hair.
The world around fell deeper and darker
but I didn’t care.
My mind became a place for my own thoughts
Not soothed by flashing lights.
I turned the world off with a switch and I bid her good night.
Because I'm not real
When we only have one shot in this world.
It’s best to make it count.
Forget what all your seniors told you
to what you would amount.
It only takes a simple switch to
turn back on the lights.
We’re all someone who means something to someone
and that makes us alright.
Because I’m unreal
